SHORT GAME & COURSE MANAGEMENT SPECIAL

18 Hole All Day Event at Nansha Golf Club or other venues in or outside of Hong Kong

We will teach you that the true test of golf is not the final score; it is an examination of your character. The behavior that you display during a round of golf is an expression of your character.  We will endeavor to teach students to take responsibility for their own mistakes, without shifting the blame on something or someone else. You will be taught to be in control of your emotions and be aware of your fellow competitors. One of good character congratulates good luck, recognizes bad luck, acknowledges the success of others, and is totally aware of others. You will learn; that golf is a game that exposes your innermost self by testing your patience and resolve; to be in control and stay in control during this revealing self-examination.

You will be taught to; play quickly and under control; become organized in the playing of the game of golf; play the game in a more focused manner; have fun and enjoy playing the game of golf as you meet the challenges of the course; become mentally and emotionally ready to rise to the changing situations offered by this wonderful game; plan your day so that you may relax and have a carefree day on the golf course; asses your capabilities; play equal to your ability; know your game and know yourself. You will be taught; when to pitch or chip from around the green as you encounter many teases and threats created by the course designer; to choose the proper club for your chipping or pitching situation; sand play and how to play from thick or thin grass when you miss the putting surface on your approach shot to the green; greenside sand bunker techniques; such as the splash and buried lie shots and how to deal with uneven slopes when your ball finishes in the bunker. You will be taught; to use your decision making process and explore options when you are faced with trouble shots to get out of trouble and back in play by using the rules to your advantage; how to proceed when your ball lands out of bounds, (white stakes) or in physical hazards such as gorges; deep valleys, lakes, streams, (red stakes, yellow stakes), sand bunkers, waste areas, trees, high roughs, hard pan; uneven lies and other hazards that course architects use to intimidate golfers. You will be taught; to relax and focus on the task at hand by overcoming tension and anxiety; the 5 steps necessary to prepare for fairway, greenside and bunker approach shots. You will be taught putting mechanics; which translates into solid contact with a square putter face impact, and a straight path allowing the ball to roll in the intended direction, touch and feel; which translates into distance control when putting those putts from far away, green reading to determine the speed and slope of the green and the many other factors that would influence the route and speed of the ball as it rolls to the hole.
